This was the old lot where they used to set up the Cirque du Soleil when it came to town. Despite being almost entirely paved, the large lot was a veritable wildflower field until they would occasionally mow it down. They recently built on the lot. The progressive loss of vacant lot spaces has decreased the diversity of flora within the more central city spaces significantly in the last few decades.
