The first five shots here were taken on September 25th in East Passyunk Crossing. Within a week's time, the plant was chopped down.
Before finding the above specimen, I had only seen this species growing off Canal Street in Northern Liberties. The ones there, mostly in at least some dirt, were significantly larger. One specimen there, shot in October of 2019 and displayed below, was growing out of a pavement joint, and was relatively small, like the above specimen.
On September 29th of 2026, I noticed the species growing rather profusely out of the wall against the Delaware River at the Navy Yard. More shots of those can be found here.
